Welcome to the NHRF 2008 Activities Area!

So much to do, so little time... or not! Sat. and Sun. we'll be open from 10am-5pm. On Saturday be sure to come before the gates close at 5pm if you'd like to stay for the Samhain Celebration too, from 6pm on.

Besides shopping and music and singing there are many other fun things to do at the faire, many of which are free!

Here is a breakdown of some of the activities in store for this year, please check back regularly, though, because things will be added frequently:

The Bonnie Weaver will be spinning her threads of all sorts of materials and demonstrating the fine art of weaving.

She will also be selling some of her pieces that have been crafted!

(cat not included) ;)

Click here to see Hair of the Dog!

Hair of the Dog is a company that creates textiles from dog hair! Nancy Brome is the spinner behind Haire of the Dog. She will be demonstrating her spinning at our faire!

Please visit her site to see a little more about her and her loyal donators!

Christopher Goguen from Silverleaf Leather will be demonstrating the art of leather crafting throughout the day, bringing simple tanned leather to the finished items as seen in his shop.

Every step from the initial cutting to the final finishing touches are done by hand with basic tools. Questions and custom orders are always welcome!

Vicky Kavanaugh has had a fascination with clay since childhood, formalizing this exploration with a B.A. in Creative Arts in Learning. Her approach to clay is to let clay lead her in tracking history’s records via imprints. This lets her understand our cultural heritage using clay as our forefathers did. Come try your hand at clay with Vicky and see what comes forth!
