Welcome to the NHRF 2007 Playtron's Area!

We'd like to thank the playtrons, (actresses and actors), from last year and, if advance, for their help this year! All of the playtrons are volunteers, working to make a great, family-friendly event for a good cause. Kudos to them for all of their assistance and support!

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!

A gathering has been called by the King and Queen of the shire.

They wish to celebrate their wedding anniversary with a competition to choose a protector of the people. The finest champions have been carefully selected to represent each of the four seasons in contest. The royal family will bestow upon the citizens the gift of choice; the people shall choose the Protector of the Shire!

Join the noble celebration and cheer your champion on to glory at the third annual New Hampshire Renaissance Faire!

As an announcement by the King: "We, the King and Queen of this Shire, have called a gathering for this momentous day. To celebrate our wedding anniversary we are sponsoring a competition to choose who will be the people's protector! We have carefully selected the finest champions from each season for your consideration. They will compete in many events so that you may gage their metal. We now bestow upon you great power, for you the people shall choose who will be the Protector of the Shire. Cheer your favorite competitor on to victory!"

NHRF Characters

	The Queen is world renown for her story telling, love of tea, and mythical powers		King Aiden Fafnir is a wise man who loves his people, though he can be stuffy at times. His opinions often differ from the Queen's.
Lady May, Champion of Spring	Honest and charismatic, Dame May Lady of the Three Maples will not lie, cheat or steal. She loves the Shire deeply and is married to the sheriff. She is trying to teach her cousin down the same moral road.	Spring's Squire	Like her champion and older cousin, this squire is honest and passionate. She hates to see good people abused and can not stand idly by. Her passion often gets in the way of her good sense.
Champion of Summer	The Shadow of Summer is an enigma. A powerful woman who seems oddly familiar. She hides her face and uses her charms to manipulate every situation in her favor. She seems to care greatly about the people of the shire.		Summer's Squire Fafnir's daughter loves nothing more then finding or creating a little mischief. The King thought being the squire for summer would keep her in line
	Caspian, Champion of Fall Caspian is a man of great wealth and station. Why he choose to be the champion of Fall is unclear, but some say Caspian bought his position. Others say Garreth did all the work. Few think Caspian is an honest man.		Garreth, Fall's Squire Garreth would rather be stealing the King's valuables and flirting then helping Caspian. However, Caspian is his boss and pays him well!
	Cillian Frost, Champion of Winter The Champion of winter is a cold and stoic lord. He thinks himself above everyone but the King and Queen. He will bend the rules a little to get his way since power is his ultimate objective.	Evelyn Frost, Winter's Squire	Lady Evelyn is as snobbish and vain as her husband, Cillian. Though she is manipulative and chauvinistic she is lonely and constantly seeking the attention, good or bad, of her husband.
Town Criers	Though they may be from various places with different backgrounds, the town criers share one thing: they are really loud!		Reeve James, (Sherrif) Representative of the King's law and a few of his own. The sheriff is a deeply lawful man, and woe to those who step on his law!
	Court Jester Juggler and all around silly guy		Captain Flint She and her crew have brought glad tiding to the new couple, (the king and queen). They travel heavily, armed, though so be wary!
