Welcome to the NHRF 2008 Samhain Area!

As Ye know the faire be set for a date(s) that 'tis very close to the Holiday of Samhain which, back in the day, was still celebrated as a Holiday and a Sabbat, not just a time for the wee ones to inhale sugar. :)

Samhain was a Holiday that celebrated the thinnin' of the veil 'tween our plane and the "others". A time to remember our friends that have passed, our ancestors and a time to request guidance in the coming year. 'Tis the best time of the year to speak to a soothsayer, elementals, ancestors, deities and others can send messages through to help us on our journey and help learn the lesson we need be learnin'.

Well, in Samhain's honor, we'd like to set this year's event off right with some drumming, a little fire pit, a masquerade and a circle!

THIS WILL BE HAPPENIN' 'TWEEN 6pm AND ____? ON SATURDAY NIGHT, AFTER GATES CLOSE SO COME BEFORE 5pm IF YE WANT TO TAKE PART!

Since it will be dark for this part of the event we asked that every child have someone watching them intently. There be woods with wild animals all around the area we're lookin' at... we don't want any kiddos gettin' lost or scared.

If Ye be slackin' in your watchful duties and/or yer children are bein' unruly and not usin' caution Ye will be asked to leave. No one will be able to relax and enjoy the fun in the wee ones are runnin' loose and might get harmed.
